Grades 6 through 8
Middle School Youth

Grow in faith and friendships with weekly youth group meetings starting the second Thursday of each month from 6:30pm-8:30pm. This program includes study of the Scriptures, worship, witness, service and community-building activities. Confirmation instruction is included. Youth are encouraged to bring friends.

Bible Camps

Two Bible camps are offered each year... a summer camping opportunity in July at the beach, and one winter camping opportunity in February or March at El Camino Pines, in Frazier Park.

First Communion

This class is offered to children from grade 5 and up. Children attend the class with their parents and are then able to participate in the Sacrament of Holy Communion.

Jubilee Ringers

An opportunity to learn to play handbells. Students practice once per week under the direction of the Handbell Choir Director and play during the Praise Service several times throughout the year. Practice is on Wednesdays from 6:00-7:00 PM.

Sunday School

Offered for all middle school youth during the 10:00 service. Students attend the beginning of the service and are dismissed to class after Kids' Talk. Every fourth Sunday of the month, students attend church for sermon notetaking.

VBS

Held Monday through Friday for one week during the summer from 9:00-3:00. Children preschool through high school come together to learn as students, helpers or leaders.

Youth Gatherings

Students have the opportunity to attend the three-day ELCA Youth Gathering held each November, either in Anaheim or Woodland Hills, and includes 400 ELCA youth from all over Southern California.
